Workforce Solutions of Southeast Texas plans to have a Job Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The latest exhibit at the Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC), Extra! Extra! Eyes of the World on Texas, opened Monday, Feb. 26, reminds us of moments in history when the nation’s spotlight shone on our state as major events unfolded through the media for a worldwide audience.

The Hardin County Commissioners Court met in regular session Tuesday morning and unanimously approved the creation of new positions and pay raises in both the county attorney’s office and the district attorney’s office.

Registered voters who wish to vote early in the Tuesday, March 5, Republican or Democrat primaries have only until the end of this week to do so. Early voting will continue to be from 7 a.m.

February has been a very busy month for Silsbee High School’s GOLD! Robotics team. On Feb. 5, the team attended the UIL VEX Robotics 4A State Championship. Team GOLD! entered the tournament as the reigning and defending state champions, and they were able to pick up another big win giving them back-to-back state titles.

Silsbee firefighters responded to three house fires on Wednesday, Feb. 21, and that was just the beginning of several fires during the next several days.
