Raiders clinch district title with victory over Jasper

On Friday March 15, the Lumberton Boys Soccer clinched the district title with a 3-0 win over Jasper. Andrew Hansen had a goal and an assist while Jaxan Tallina and Santi Troncoso also contributed goals in the win. Will Wooters assisted Hansen on his goal. The Lumberton boys await the results of District 18 to see who they will play in the first round of the playoffs next week.

Silsbee Tigers fall to Bridge City 4-2

The Silsbee Tigers varsity baseball team was defeated Friday by the Bridge City Cardinals 4-2. Mikey Moshier was on the mound first for the Tigers. He allowed 4 hits and 2 runs, striking out 1 and walking 2 over 3 innings. Jaden Baker then stepped to the hill as reliever and allowed 2 runs and 2 hits, striking out 2 and walking 2.

LHS boys beat LCM in soccer

Scoring early and often, the Lumberton Boys Soccer (8-1,11-4-3) took a 5-0 road win against LCM earlier this month for their 8th district win of the season. Sophomore Andrew Hansen opened the scoring less than 10 minutes in off a pass from Jaxan Tallina (Jr).

Winners named in 8 ball tourney

Winners have been named in the Super 8 Ball Challenge Tournament held on Sunday, March 10, at Honky Tonk Texas in Silsbee. A total of 48 people participated in the tournament in which more than $7,000 in cash prizes were awarded.

Lady Raiders beat Lady Tigers, 12-0

The Lumberton Lady Raiders powered their way past Silsbee to claim a 12-0 victory on Tuesday, March 12. The big win moved the Raiders to 3-0 in district competition.

Tigers end season as state runner- up champs

The Silsbee Tigers headed for the state tournament with a 14 game win streak and high hopes of winning their third state championship. The Tigers won the state semifinal game Friday by defeating Canyon Crandall 7568, but lost in the state championship game 80-66 to Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy.

Lady Raiders make statement with 15-0 victory over WO-S

The Lumberton Lady Raiders’ bats were hot Friday night as they faced the West Orange-Stark Mustangs in Lumberton. The game only lasted for three innings due to the mercy rule that the University Interscholastic League has in place in Texas softball.
