The Silsbee Lady Tigers basketball team is off to a strong start this year. They opened their season with a 61-43 loss to West Brook and then defeated Westside in a thriller 63-61.

The Silsbee Tigers opened their home season at the Tiger Den with only nine girls on the roster but they exploded for a 23-7 first quarter lead. Six of the nine girls on the Lady Tigers team scored in the first period.

Tigers fight hard to beat Sealy, win Bi-District

The Silsbee Tigers battled their way past a determined Sealy squad on a very wet night at Randal Reed Stadium in New Caney last Thursday night to win the bi-district championship by a score of 35-22. The Sealy Tigers won the flip and elected to kick the ball which led to the Silsbee Tigers first TD of the game.

Raiders claim Bi-District with 40-14 win over Athens

The Lumberton Raiders scored the first four times they got the ball on their way to a 40-14 win over Athens on Friday night in a Big-District playoff game that was played at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches.

The Silsbee Tigers have been hitting the hardwoods and they have some special talent to lead the way. The group is led by Jarad Harris, a three time all state player who could become one of the schools few four time all state players before he graduates.
