The Kountze Lions ran their record to 32-5 with a 74-52 win over the Shepherd Pirates on Friday to claim the Area championship.
The Lions took a 2214 lead in the first period. Hunter Courts led the charge with five first period points that came on a field goal from inside the arc and two free throws. Zacc Sells also hit for five in the first period.
