Janis Joplin’s Purple Painting to be unveiled at PA museum

The Museum of the Gulf Coast is pleased to announce that it has received a donation of a replica of a large painting by Janis Joplin from one-time Port Arthur resident Rebecca Wood (Becky Hall). The unveiling of the piece will be held in the Music Gallery at the Museum of the Gulf Coast in Port Arthur on Friday, June 7, starting at 3:30 pm, where it will be permanently displayed. Ms. Wood will be in attendance at the unveiling. She has described the large reproduction as 'nearly indistinguishable' from the original.

That is why it was so easy for them when it came to a career decision.
