Terry Graves had been pastor of Word of Life Church in Silsbee for more than 20 years before moving to California in 2018 to become dean of a Bible college there.
Graves had followed in his father’s footsteps by going into law enforcement at the Dallas Police Department in 1972. He also served as the police chief in Kountze while pastoring at Word of Life Church in Silsbee.
