Hundreds temporarily displaced due to flooding in Hardin County

Hundreds of Hardin County residents were displaced because of flooding which took place between last Wednesday and last Saturday. Village Creek, Mill Creek, Beech Creek and possibly other waterways in the county began flooding Wednesday and by Thursday several bridges in the county were under water as were several low areas in the county where people found themselves trapped in their homes by high waters.

Tent revival next week at Wiley Mae church

An old fashioned tent revival is scheduled for Sunday through Wednesday, April 14-17 at the Wiley Mae Community Baptist Church, located at 9823 Old Spurger Road north of Silsbee. David Frazie of David Frazie Tent Ministries, will be the speaker.
