Ashley Rose Carlock, 18, of Blanco, Texas, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior due to a car accident on Saturday, February 3, 2024. She will be missed more than words can express, but we find peace knowing that she is in the arms of Jesus.

Ashley was born in Port Arthur, Texas, on November 29, 2005, to Lisa Marie Repasky Carlock and Matthew Aaron Carlock. From a young age, Ashley wanted to be a cowgirl and a “pistol-packin’ mama.” Ashley religiously carried her toy pistol to be just like her daddy. As a little girl, Ashley developed her love for Jesus Christ and made the decision at 8 years old to accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Ashley’s faith was unwavering, and she was known to spread God’s word to her family and friends.

Ashley was a fun-loving, intelligent young woman with a big heart. She was a natural beauty inside and out. She loved her horses and barrel racing, hunting, riding four-wheelers, and being with nature. One of her all-time favorite hobbies was shopping with family and friends, but mostly with her daddy (for obvious reasons). Ashley liked to relax by hanging out with her friends and listening to music while laughing and cutting up. One of their favorite songs was “The Joker” by the Steve Miller Band (Fly High Space Cowboy).

Ashley was set to graduate high school in May and looked forward to attending the Aveda Institute in Lafayette, Louisiana. She dreamed of having her own salon and day spa, working alongside her momma.

More important than her dreams and future plans, was her loyalty and love to those who were family or friends. She truly wanted the best for everyone around her. Ashley was a great listener and problem solver, offering her assistance and encouragement. She was truly a friend in every sense of the word.

Survivors include her parents; grandparents, Debbie Turner Jones of Blanco, Texas, John Repasky of West Monroe, New York, Greg Jones of Beaumont, Texas, Wanda Heitz-Jarrell and her husband, Ben, of Dequincy, Louisiana, and Walter Carlock of Amarillo; great-grandparents, Sue “Big Maw” Repasky of Bridge City, Texas and Marjorie Maggard of Proctor, Oklahoma; aunts and uncles, Steve Carlock and his wife, Kari, of Lake Charles, Louisiana; Kyle Jarrell and Denyliz Vega, of Dequincy, Louisiana, and Glenn Carlock of Amarillo, Texas; great-aunts and great-uncles, Nancy Metcalf and her husband, Greg, of Canyon Lake, Texas, Roy Repasky and his wife, Lily, of Damon, Texas, and Jackie Rose and her husband, Doug, of Brownwood, Texas; and many other extended family and friends.

While Ashley’s time in life was limited, her impact on others was not. She was loved by so many. She will be missed by people all over the country.

A gathering of Ashley’s family and friends with her funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium.

Immediately following her funeral service, a celebration of Ashley’s life was held in the form of meal at the First Baptist Church of Kountze, 100 W Monroe Street, Kountze.
