The Kountze Lions record this season fell to 3-5 when they lost a 61-6 decision to state ranked Newton on Friday in Newton.
Newton had 527 yards in total offense as compared to 245 for Kountze.
Camden Johnson, the quarterback, scored the Lions only points on a 70 yard touchdown run late in the game.
The Lions are now 3-5 overall and 1-3 in District play. Kountze will play New Waverly on Friday…
